Modern Warfare 2

Wow.  Infinity Ward nailed it with this one.  I just recently played through and beat the game on the Hardened setting.  I’ll give Veteran a shot after I complete all of the Special Ops side missions.  This is truly a great game.  The story line picks up where Modern Warfare left off and leaves you hangin’ for the third installment.  The difficulty of the game is great.  Hardened is just hard enough to be fun but not too easy.  Veteran is obviously for the more experienced players but not completely impossible.  The Special Ops missions are really fun but are definitely more difficult than the actual game itself.  Multiplayer is obviously great and online play is even better than the first.  The only problem I have is that you cannot play online with other people on a local xbox.  If you want your friends to enjoy MW2 you can only play versus or Special Ops, no online with guests.  MW2 also has quite the M. Night Shyamalan twist within the story line.  I would highly recommend purchasing or at least renting Modern Warfare 2.  This is an excellent game.

tiger woods

Ok so here’s the thing.  Get off of Tiger Woods’ back.  He wrecked his car.  Who cares?  Yeah sure, he pulls in over $100 million a year.  Does that mean we get to know everything about his personal life?  No.  It does not.  He is the best golfer in the world and I’d go as far to say that there isn’t a single person who doesn’t know who Tiger Woods is.  So that’s probably why people are trying to tear him down.  He is an excellent athelete and he has about everything anyone could ask for.  Obviously people want to bring him down.  Of course people want to think that Tiger Woods is corrupt.  No one likes to see people get everything they’ve ever wanted.  Especially if they’ve worked as hard as Tiger to reach their goals.  People are so quick to destroy the public figure’s name.  Make the change from famous to infamous.  Well lay off.  Yeah the dude crashed his car at like 2 in the morning.  Must have had an affair obviously.  Come ON!  People crash their cars all the time.  He said he was embarrased.  And who in their right mind would be driving around at 2am?  A lot of people I assure you.  I’m on the road quite frequently after midnight.  Am I out sleeping around?  No.  I’m driving to where I’m going.  Simple as that.  AND his wife broke the window of the vehical and pulled him out.  That sounds like what a wife who just got cheated on would do.  NOT!  If he was having an affair I’m sure she’d dial 911 and leave it up to the police.  And then there’s the fact that he might have been drinking.  So?  Whether he was or not that’s no one’s business but his own.  And seeing how authorities didn’t give him a ticket or anything like that it pretty much rules that out.  And I’ve had an accident before.  Did anyone care?  Nope.  Not a soul.  Was I out after 2am pursuing a secret love affair?  Was I drinking?  No.  I wasn’t.  But obviously if you’re as important as Tiger you must have been doing something wrong.  Superstars do not make mistakes.  They’re not allowed to.  After all they aren’t human right?  Of COURSE they are.  So get off his back.  He said he was embarrased and asked to keep it private.  So respect his wishes.  I’m tired of hearing about how the people deserve to hear all of the facts.  No the people don’t.  Get over yourselves and get back to your own lives.  The only thing you need to know about Tiger is what he shoots at the tourneys.  That is all.

Eigenharp Alpha = future of music?

So this is a “new age” sort of instrument.  It apparently can do just about anything the artist would like.  I’m not quite convinced on the sound quality quite yet (could be due to sound quality of video) and the instrument may need some work to actually be the future of music.  However, I think the concept is awesome and one of these would be a lot of fun to play around with.  This is how the Eigenharp website describes their instrument: “A professional level instrument which allows the musician to play and improvise using a limitless range of sounds with virtuoso skill. The unique design of the keys makes this the most expressive electronic musical instrument ever made. The Alpha can play and record loops, change scale and key, transpose, alter tempo, program beats, create arrangements, switch and layer multiple sounds, all while the musician is performing live on stage.”  Sounds good to me.  Check it out and leave a comment about what you think.

Carl Gibbs – hardcore!
